I've hidden away my most tender, vulnerable parts. Makes sense, feels human. I've deemed it unsafe for them to emerge. The thing is, those tender parts, while the most vulnerable, also experience the deepest joy and connection. When I cut off the potential for hurt, I also cut off the potential for love. I'm slowly, steadily bringing those parts back out into the light. Together, we are leaning into trust, into creating safety for ourselves and being brave out here in the open.
