Every piece in this collection is hand stitched. This process is slow and methodical and intimate. It is repetitive and sometimes painful. And yet, stitch by stitch, the work comes together. Each stitch matters, each stitch is part of a beautiful whole.
I can’t think of a better metaphor for community-building. The work often feels so big. And, one stitch at time, we move forward with each other. A little more love, a little more learning, a little more trust.
Beautiful community is built slowly, methodically, intimately. It is repetitive and sometimes painful. And yet, day by day, it all comes together. Each person matters, each person a part of a beautiful whole.
